Nano Banana (Gemini 2.5 Flash): lightning-fast generation with handy extras like Use Foreground Color and Reference Image (available on both Windows and macOS 🎉).

Flux Kontext (Pro & Max): intelligent, context-aware editing that handles typography, lighting, and composition beautifully.

Your selections are processed by Replicate’s AI models, then placed back in Photoshop as a new layer—preserving shadows, highlights, and materials for seamless results. You’ll find a detailed manual and example video included. Since the AI runs on Replicate, you’ll need a free account plus at least $10 in credit. That’s enough to create roughly 250 generations.

⚠️ Windows notes: Works on Windows 10 & 11, with a couple of small quirks. You might see quick command windows flash during processing—that’s completely normal. The new Reference Image feature is now fully supported.

Troubleshooting tips:

• On Windows: if you hit connection issues, check antivirus/firewall settings, or run Photoshop as admin.
• On macOS: most API errors are fixed by resetting Photoshop preferences.

Quick Setup Guide

Get started in minutes with these simple steps

1. Set up Replicate

Create your Replicate account and get your API token

1.1 Go to Replicate

Visit replicate.com and click Sign in.

1.2 Sign in with GitHub

Click Sign in with GitHub. If you do not have a GitHub account yet, create one during the login process.

1.3 Open Account settings

After signing in, click your profile picture and choose Account settings.

1.4 Add credit

In Account settings open Billing. Click Add credit and add at least $10. Current costs per image: about $0.039 for Photoshop Nano Banana, $0.04 for Flux Kontext Pro and $0.08 for Flux Kontext Max. A ten dollar deposit is plenty to test the Photoshop Nano Banana plugin.

1.5 Disable auto reload

Click Manage auto reload and make sure auto reload is disabled to avoid unwanted charges.

1.6 Create an API token

In Account settings open API tokens. Create a new token and copy it. You will paste this token in Photoshop later.

2. Installation

Download and install the plugin in your Photoshop Scripts folder

2.1 Download the .jsxbin file

Download the plugin file from the link provided.

2.2 Copy to Scripts folder

Copy it to your Photoshop Scripts folder: macOS: /Applications/Adobe Photoshop [version]/Presets/Scripts/ | Windows: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop [version]\Presets\Scripts\ , and then please restart Photoshop, the plugin will show up under File → Scripts → Nano-Banana-Image-Edit_Vxx.

2.3 Restart Photoshop

Restart Photoshop. The Photoshop Nano Banana script will show up under File → Scripts → Blue Plugin

3. First time setup

Configure your API token and choose your preferred model

3.1 Open the script

Open any document, then go to File → Scripts → Nano-Banana-Image-Edit_v1_0.

3.2 Enter API token

The first time you open the script, the Settings will open first. Paste your Replicate API token.

4. Run your first AI edit

Create your first AI-powered edit with simple steps

4.1 Make a selection

Make a selection in Photoshop using any selection tool.

4.2 Open the plugin

Go to File → Scripts → Nano-Banana-Image-Edit_v1_0

4.3 Enter your prompt

Enter a short, specific prompt describing what you want to create or edit.

4.4 Choose model and options

Choose a model: Photoshop Nano Banana

4.5 Generate

Click Generate. The result appears as a new layer on top of your original.
